There was a time when steady peace was known throughout the pack lands. Our beloved stars had looked upon this and smiled, seeing that it was good. But they then went to sleep. No longer to dance and twist throughout the skies every night, they fell into hibernation and remained stationary. For a while, this was fine. The wolves continued on as they had been and the Packlands flourished as they had during the First Visit. But as time drug on, and still the stars had yet to awaken, more than one wolf wondered: had we been forgotten?
Fear blossomed in the hearts of the Packland wolves. We had no where to turn, no one to run to. In this desperateness, our alphas forged alliances with each other; and though some were stronger than others, for a while the idea of safety soothed our quaking bones. But all too soon, this too died. The stars had surely deserted us, they hadn't danced in so long. Was this punishment? Had we done something wrong? Small fights broke out around territory lines, alphas struggled to maintain the balance between war and peace. Don't give in, don't give in; don't push, don't push. For so long, it seemed we were at war with ourselves.
Now, the stars tremble and quiver with awakening. Like a pup from a long nap, they open their mouths and yawn, spreading dancing lights across the sky. Our beloved stars are returning, already there are rumors of the next fall. The packs stand on the edge of war. The whole world seems to hold its breath. Everyone waits for night to descend upon us...
