Every region is host to criminal minds who wish to use pokemon to achieve their own deeds. Lukara is no different.
Team Obsidian is run by a council of 5 members, most of whom stay in the shadows, and are unknown to the world. Each of the council members and the higher ups have a codename corresponding to a gemstone. The head of the Council is Professor Nero Blake, codename Obsidian.
Obsidian has its claws in all kinds of business, though it's main focus is the capture and control of powerful pokemon, in order to create a large army, though what for is unknown.
This also extends to pokemorphs, as they are often known to be good trainers, and are better at working with pokemon, as well being able to become one themselves. Obsidian is the major group in creating pokemorphs, secretly of course, though recently a large group of them escaped, and are currently being hunted down.
Due to the new rule, Obsidian is currently sending out many of its recruits to become trainers, in order to capture powerful pokemon, and with hopes of getting members in important places.
There are two ways to be a Team Obsidian member : You start out as one, either through family, being recruited before you start your journey, or manage to find your way to the obsidian lab instead of the ebony lab. Only one of your characters may become one this way. If you start out a member before your start playing the character, they must be a rookie, with no pokemon of there own, though they may have been on small missions, especially if they are older, and used borrowed pokemon.
Alternatively you may be scouted, and aproached by Team Obsidian during your journey, if they feel you are good enough. Think wisely about your decision. They don't take kindly to refusals. Note: Only Global mods and above may aproach members with this offer. You can request by pm but its up to the mod whether or not your character would catch their interest.
Being a Team Obsidian member means you are on their side in plots, and you may occasionally get missions in threads. There is also the rumour that the 4th leader makes it easier for recruits to beat her, if she knows they are one.
