Now, for those of you have never been on a RP site like this before heres how it works.
1. You post in the boards in order. Start at one of the labs, then go onto route one, then Silk village etc. 2.You must complete a thread on each board before moving on. It can be short, but that's not advisory as it will be harder if you don't spend time leveling. 3.Before moving on from a town you must have won the badge for that gym. 4. Once you've got the badge for a town, you can travel back to it via the 'Flying Express' A company in every town that will transport trainers via flying pokemon to towns they've visted. It doesn't cost, and you don't need to say you've used it. Its just there as an explaination. 5. Your character can only be in one Journey thread at once, and one plot thread. You can always post in the Colosseum, as lng as you've already arrived at Voltech.
Now there are two types of threads. The main one you will be using are modded threads. These are where you and a mod rp together. These will be for route threds, and Gym battles, where they control the pokemon and trainers/leaders for you to fight. Rules. 1.Only a mod may make a pokemon appear. Not you. 2.Only a Global mod (and above) may control Gym leadeers, and make Legendaries appear. 3.Don't ask your mod for a specific pokemon. You get what you get. 4.You are allowed to travel with someone else, but you still need a mod in your threads. 5.Unless it's agreed you're journeying with that character, don't invade their threads.
The second type can occur in towns, where you just post either with an [open] thread, or [closed] if you already know who you're rping with. You can just interact with each other, or battle each other (not and NPC though) without the need of a mod. Of course you can still have a mod thread in towns, if you want to interact with NPC's. Just put [Mod} in the tiltle instead of [open]
Plot threads are a mix of these two.

General Mechanics
1.You are allowed 8 pokemon on you, though only six may participate in any one battle, unless its a double battle when all may. 2.Once your pokemon has learnt an attack, they keep it. Simple as. 3.Abilites - Abilities that can be rped (Like flash fire) are allowed. If a pokemon has two abilities, they may have both. No dream abilites. 4. Every time you post you get £75. You can than use this to buy goods, and participate in contests.

Battle
In one turn (a post) you may use one from each List A and B. This allow your opponent to react to your attack.
A -Use a damaging move -Use an item -Use a move like protect/endure/Recover/substitute. Repetitive use will end in failure.
B -Use a stat effecting move -Switch out a pokemon
Also if you were attacked, you can always attempt to dodge. After all getting out of the way is instinct. However it can't always be successful, as that is god-moding and unfair, unless you have a valid reason. (Like you're a much higher level)
You must not powerplay or god mode. Power playing is when you control a character who is not your own, in anyway, or other thing you cannot control (Like weather). This includes NPCs, pokemon owned by someone else's character, and character being controlled by mods. This can be as simple as saying how the other character acted, to more subtle forms, like saying your attack hit, and/or what damage it did. That is up to the player being attacked.
Bad: Miltank rolled into a ball and bowled towards the machoke, smashing into its legs and knocking it over. Good: Miltank rolled into a ball and bowled towards the machoke, hoping to knock into its legs and make it fall over.
It’s then up to the Machoke’s player whether or not it hits, and how bad it is. However if they dodge too many times, or attacks rarely do much damage, unless there a valid reason, like high level differences, then it becomes godmoding, when the pokemon is much more powerful than it should be,

LevelsI'm sure we've all been in the situation where we are sick to death of leveling pokemon on the games. After all it takes forever. Don't worry. Hopefully it'll be faster here. Warning: This system may change as I review it. Currently it's just a test. Ponyta lv5 Vs.Pikachu Lv8 Ponyta wins Ponyta gains 2 levels
If you beat a pokemon 3 or more levels higher than you, you gain two levels.
Ponyta Lv5 Vs. Pikachu Lv5 Ponyta Wins Ponyta gains 1 level
If you beat a pokemon the same level as you, 1-2 levels above you, or 1 level below you you gain 1 level.
Ponyta lv5 Vs. Pikachu Lv3 Ponyta wins Ponyta gains 1/2 a level
If you beat a pokeon with a level two or more less than you, you only gain half a level. After battling a trainer each pokemon who took part gains a level, regardless of win or loss. You must keep track of half levels. Not the mods. You. In terms of calculations, 1/2 levels are rounded down. If you used more than one pokemon, the highest level counts in the calculation, and the gained levels are split among the pokemon, to the nearest half. We don't want 3/8 and 5/16 running around, do we?

Evolving
If your pokemon evolves at a certain level, then when it reaches that level, you may evolve it if you want to. No need to wait for a mod. This means you have to keep track of when they evolve. If you missed it you have to wait for them to go up a level, not just decide to randomly have them evolve.
Pokemon that need items, they are all the same. Location pokemon use a star piece, ecept Leafeon which uses a leafstone, and Glaceon which uses Icy rock (yes I know it's normally a held item)
Pokemon that evolve with happines evolve at lv15 or higher when they gain a level if you think they are happy enough, ie. You pay attention to them, care for them. If a mod disagrees, they will stop the evoloution. Same for beauty.
Pokemon that need trade need to be traded, then gain a level with that trainer. Certain promo's count as traded.
Eggs
When you recieve an egg, your character must carry it for 20 of your posts, before it hatches. You hatch it in your 20th post, if you know what the egg is. If you don't you rp it starting to hatch, and in OC say who gave the egg, then the mod will finish it off and tell you what comes out, if necessary finding out what the egg is from the mod who granted it if they weren't the ones. In either case the mod in your thread will then choose a random egg move for you. You must keep track of the posts yourself. Mod's, you must keep track of what eggs you give out if they are surprise eggs.

Legendaries
There are multiples of each type of legendary. In fact, they are just like normal pokemon, breeding and raising families. What makes them legendary are the tales attached to them, and the fact they are capable of resisting almost all pokeballs. As such a legendary has to be willing for it to be captured by a ball. When they are not, people have to resort to other means.
Only Global Mods and Admins can make legendaries appear, rarely. And just because one does appear it doesn't mean you're going to be able to catch. Befriend it, then maybe it'll keep coming back to you until perhaps one day it will be willing to fight for you.
In battle legendaries are stronger than normal pokemon, but not by much, so just because you have a legendary doesn't mean you're going to win, and no godmoding with it or your legendary privelages will be taken away.
Shinies All pokemon have different colourings, and often the diffferences are too hard to see. On occasion though the colouring will be vastly different like an albino, or melanistic. This is this regions version of shinies. Different colourations , that aren't necessary the same as that pokemon 'shiny', of pokemon mods can make appear rarely. Except for the fact they look nice, and some people collect them there is nothing special about them. They only seem to appear in the wild, and that is the only place you can get them, except through trade. Mods, if you want them to appear, it would be nice if you have a sprite for it if it's not a 'normal shiny'.

Healing
At the moment there are two ways to heal your party.
1. Go to a pokemon center. You don't have to act this out. You can just say in your thread something like 'After going to the pokemon center Alice...'. You can act it out if you want to though, or if the pokemon are seriously injured.
2.Resting. Sleep is the best medicine after all. Resting for an hour or two or even settling down to sleep is a good way to heal your team, though it takes time, and you could be disturbed or attacked. You start resting in your post, and end in the mod post, either by being disturbed, or by everything passing peacefully.
It is assumed you rest between each route thread, unless otherwise stated.

Shopping
In each town there is a shop thread, stating the items available for sale, and their prices. If your character is in that town, you simply post IC stating what they bought. A mod will then alter your money totals, and post the code for you. (Or you can make the code yourself if you know how)
